World Refugee Day 2004 National Activity Plan: Slovak Republic

From 21 May to 4 June, a photo exhibition will be held at the Parliament of the Slovak Republic. The photos are by Andrej Ban and they show refugee camps around the world.
On 18 June, UNHCR will organise a roundtable with parliamentarians, NGOs, students and the public at large to discuss the possibilities of improving refugees' living conditions in the Slovak Republic. People will also share their views on the recent challenges related to the country's entry to the European Union. The event will take place at the Parliament of the Slovak Republic.
On 20 June, a concert will take place in Stage Propeller. Five Slovak groups will perform and, during the breaks, UNHCR will sensitise people about refugee issues in the country.
