World Refugee Day 2007 National Activities: Finland

The Finnish Refugee Council held a public awareness event in Narikkatori Square, Helsinki, with music, games and questions to decision-makers. A football team comprising staff from groups helping refugees took on a side gathering parliamentarians, police and immigration officers.

A campaign was launched to abolish B-status residency permits for asylum-seekers.
