The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and Budapest, Hungary, provides protection and material assistance to refugees and other persons in many parts of the world, often under emergency situations. It intends to prequalify suppliers for the supply of the following critical items:

• Item: Therapeutic Milk and ready-to-use Therapeutic Food


• Reference: EOI/PREQ – BSC002


• Deadline: 15 July 2008

UNHCR invites all potential suppliers, particularly manufacturers, interested in qualifying to supply Therapeutic Milk and/or ready-to-use Therapeutic Food to follow the instructions outlined in the prequalification documents.

Only qualified suppliers will then be invited to participate in the subsequent bidding process for the supply of the item(s) for an initial period of two years.

The Expression of Interest, the Prequalification of Suppliers and UNHCR brochure, "Doing Business with UNHCR", containing the supplier registration form (Annex C) are available online at: www.unhcr.org/supply

Only qualified suppliers will then be invited to participate in the subsequent bidding process for the supply of sanitary material (cotton cloth) for an initial period of two years.
