UNHCR Regional Representation invites bidders to tenders when it needs particular goods or services. Tenders generally vary from graphic design, printing, and website maintenance services through social media and public information support to general logistics, security or travel agent services.

As a field office, all purchases budgeted at US $5,000 or more are subject to formal competitive bidding.

In some cases, UNHCR concludes a long-term agreement with a supplier of goods or services. These frame agreements are signed for items that UNHCR staff use every day in its work and operations and guarantee that the Refugee Agency can quickly place orders for its needs at fixed prices.

The specific terms and conditions of the open tenders are laid down in the respective invitations. Selection criteria for award of a contract are, as a rule, the proposed price and overall value, the comprehensiveness and innovation of the proposed solution, experience in similar projects and previous cooperation with UNHCR, other UN agencies or other organizations working in the field of asylum and migration.

Decision of UNHCR to select a successful bidder is final and absolute. UNHCR Regional Representation is not obliged to accept any of the submitted tenders. A second round of bidding or negotiations with short listed bidders may take place, when necessary.

Interested bidders are required to submit their tender by the date and hour indicated. Late submissions are not considered.
