UNHCR Library Holdings
In the last 15 years, the UNHCR Library has built up a comprehensive collection of refugee-related material. It consists of more than 17,000 documents (books, articles, reports), encompassing the complete range of country, refugee, migration, human rights and international law literature.
Library holdings include the following categories of documents:
- UNHCR documentation: Conference reports and other public material produced by the Office.
- Refugee material: Literature on camps, asylum, vulnerable groups, durable solutions, international co-operation, education, health, etc. published by external sources (intergovernmental organisations, governments, NGOs, academic institutions.
- Legal documentation: Major books on international, humanitarian and refugee law; national legislation.
- Related documentation: Selected and recent material on countries of origin, international migration, conflict resolution, peace efforts and development.
- Reference material: Encyclopaedias, directories and atlases.
- CD-ROMs: Some 50 CD-ROMs are available at the Library.
