<description><![CDATA[In August 2001, 37 unaccompanied teenagers were among those rescued at sea from a sinking fishing boat in the Indian Ocean by the Norwegian container ship the <em>MV Tampa</em>. The Tampa Boys, as they became known, were accepted by New Zealand as refugees and today were some of the 76 refugees from the <em>Tampa</em> who gained New Zealand citizenship.]]></description>
