CHEFS/BAKERS WANTED

UNHCR Ireland is looking for experienced chefs and bakers who would like to participate in this year’s Refugee Food Festival. The event will take place in mid-June in several restaurants in Ireland.

As a participating chef/baker you will have the opportunity to collaborate on a unique venture and put you skills to use in the kitchen of an Irish restaurant. You will be paid by the hour and may request a reference in recognition of your work.

The Refugee Food Festival is an event that aims to showcase the cooking talents of refugee chefs and bakers, to provide them with opportunities to get to know local restaurants and restaurant owners and to promote employment opportunities for refugee chefs.

You can participate if…

  • You are a qualified chef or have experience working as a chef/baker, and
  • You are a refugee, beneficiary of subsidiary protection, have been granted humanitarian permission to remain or are an asylum seeker whose application was lodged before October 2017 and who has yet to receive an international protection decision from the Office of International Protection.

If you would like to participate, please download the form from our website and send it to us via email to: [email protected]

Paper forms will also be distributed to Reception Centres and can be sent by post to:
