The impact of nearly two-and-a-half decades of armed conflict in Somalia, compounded by drought and other natural hazards, challenges the resilience and the coping mechanisms of Somalia’s most vulnerable citizens.

Over 870,000 Somalis are registered as refugees in the Horn of Africa and Yemen, while an estimated 2.1 million men, women and children are displaced within the country itself.

In Somalia we are providing protection and life-saving to those who have been forced to flee their homes. We assist with improved access to education, health, livelihood initiatives and community-based projects which help refugees, people displaced inside the country, returnees and host communities integrate.
