Election of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

¹ At its 72nd plenary meeting, on 21 December 1990, the General Assembly, on the proposal of the Secretary-General,² elected Mrs. Sadako OGATA as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for a period of three years beginning on 1 January 1991.
