The attached calendar of work of the Standing Committee in 2000 was adopted by the Standing Committee at its planning meeting on 15 December 1999. Two revisions have been made, namely moving to the eighteenth meeting the review of UNHCR operations in the Asia and the Pacific region, and the presentation of policy guidelines on accepting additional activities. The calendar is presented to the seventeenth meeting of the Standing Committee for formal adoption in accordance with the decision taken by the fiftieth session of the Executive Committee of the High Commissioner's Programme (A/AC.96/928, paragraph 24(b)).
