Introductory Note
This addendum 1 to document A/AC. 96/900, Overview of UNHCR Activities 1997-1999, provides more detailed information on expenditure/budgets and post requirements for each country/area, as for Other Programmes and Headquarters. As such, the additional information on expenditure and budgets develops the information contained in Tables III. 1 – X.1 in the Overview; these Tables in Chapters III-X of the Overview present information on expenditure in 1997 and estimated expenditure/projections in 1998/1999 for each of UNHCR’S operations. Similarly, the additional Tables in this Addendum on post requirements (indicating type and grade level) should be seen as complementing the information on posts contained in Tables III. 2 – X. 2. Chapter VI of this Addendum which deals with Other Programmes and Headquarters, givers additional information on expenditure/budgets and posts to that provided in Chapters XI and XII of the Overview document.
