[1]On the recommendation of the Secretary-General,[2] the General Assembly decided to extend for a period of five years, from 1 January 1969 to 31 December 1973, the term of office of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The General Assembly also decided to approve the recommendation of the Secretary-General regarding the salary and emoluments of the High Commissioner.
