Election of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

[1]At its 62nd plenary meeting, on 29 November 1988, the General Assembly, on the proposal of the Secretary-General,[2] extended the appointment of Mr. Jean-Pierre HOCKE as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for a further three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 1989.
