NGO involvement in the Global Consultations

NGOs have been actively involved in making constructive contributions to all aspects of the Global Consultations, including:

Participation in Regional Meetings in Pretoria, Ottawa, Macau, Budapest, San José, Cairo and Oslo,
Statements and papers submitted to the Track 3 meetings in Geneva,
Participation in and written comments to the Expert Roundtables under Track 2, and
Input into the preparatory phases of the Track 1 process leading to the Ministerial Meeting on 12 and 13 December 2001.

Input has been received from a wide range of NGOs, both humanitarian and human rights NGOs, as well from a number of different regions globally.
