Italy: Update to Response to Information Request ITA25893.E of 15 January 1997 on refugee camps located around the city of Trieste
The attached copy of a 10 February 1997 letter received from the Canadian Branch office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) provides information on two refugee centres operating in the Trieste area of Italy and on their operations.
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
