Marzieh Vafamehr
Iranian actress Marzieh Vafamehr has reportedly been sentenced to a one-year jail term and 90 lashes.
Opposition website Kalameh said the verdict was handed down October 9 and that Vafamehr's lawyer was appealing the verdict.
Vafamehr was arrested three months ago after appearing in the film "My Tehran For Sale" by Iranian-Australian Granaz Moussavi about the frustration that artists are experiencing in Iran.
Vafamehr is the wife of well-known Iranian filmmaker Nasser Taqvaei.
