A commander for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps has told the state-run IRNA news agency that Iranian forces have taken "full control" of three camps of the Iranian-Kurdish rebel PJAK movement inside Iraq.
Colonel Delavar Ranjibarzadeh, a commander for the powerful IRGC in the border town of Sardasht, said three camps in Iraqi territory that were backing the Iranian-Kurdish rebel movement "have fallen under our control and we have full control of the area."
Ranjbarzadeh said operations launched within Iraq's border region on July 16 by Iranian troops are continuing.
