Journalists Killed in 2011 - Motive Unconfirmed: Ilyas Nizzar

Nizzar's body was found with multiple gunshot wounds along a dirt road in Pidarak, Baluchistan province, six days after he was reported missing, local news reports said.

Alongside Nizzar's body was that of Qambar Chakar, a Baluch Students Organization leader who had disappeared from his home in Turbat on November 27, 2010. A general assignment reporter for the newsmagazine Darwanth, Nizzar was also considered "a prominent activist," according to some local news reports.

Motive Unconfirmed: CPJ is investigating to determine whether the death was work-related.
