Angola: Follow-up to AGO37000.E of 24 April 2001 on the Juventude MPLA (Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola)
The following information was provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Ottawa:
Juventude MPLA is the MPLA's youth organisation, which activities are not related to the government.
Membership to Juventude MPLA only depends on interested indivdiuals, on the grounds of the democratic principle of free association (9 May 2001).
This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
