According to a 1 July 1995 article from The Indian Ocean Newsletter(), Ahmed Dini is the head of a dissenting group within the Front for the Restoration of Unity and Democracy (FRUD) that opposes the peace agreement between FRUD and the government of Djibouti. For information on the activities of the dissident FRUD faction, please consult the attached documents. Information on the treatment of dissident FRUD members by other members of the organization could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
