Nigeria: Location of Divisional Headquarters of Nigerian Police in Umuaka, Imo State, Nigeria (2006)

According to the executive director of the CLEEN Foundation, a Lagos-based (CLEEN n.d.b) non-governmental organization (ibid. n.d.a) that "promote[s] respect for human rights and cooperation between civil society and law enforcement agencies throughout Nigeria" (ibid. n.d.c), the Divisional Headquarters in Umuaka, Imo State exists (CLEEN 19 Jan. 2006). Although the telephone number provided to the Research Directorate (i.e., [234] 083-254-842) is not in service, the executive director of CLEEN indicated that the police station in question "is not likely to have a telephone line as most police stations in Nigeria do not have functional lines" (17 Jan. 2006). No additional information on the police station in Umuaka, Imo State, Nigeria could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
