In 2005, there were reports of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) holding rallies in Anambra State during the months of September (Daily Champion 12 Sept. 2005; ibid. 8 Sept. 2005; Vanguard 8 Sept. 2005; UN 8 Sept. 2005) and December (ibid. 7 Dec. 2005; This Day 7 Dec. 2005). However, reports of a MASSOB rally held on 15 August 2005 in Awka, Anambra State or elsewhere in Anambra State could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints.
