A representative of the Democratic Union Party (DUP) in Toronto stated during a 4 May 1998 telephone interview that Gaffar Seid Ahmed Gorish was a Democratic Union Party (DUP) member of parliament for the Kordofan region from 1964 to 1968 who has since died.
