No mention of the Jouda ben Ayed University of Science and Technology could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. Furthermore, during a 27 April 2004 telephone interview, the Secretary General of the General Union of Tunisian Students (Union générale des étudiants tunisiens-UGET) stated that he is not aware of the existence of any university or any institute called Jouda ben Ayed.
