No mention of the Association of Conservative Leaders (Asociación de Líderes Conservadores) could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
In a 14 October 2004 interview, the head of the Conservative Party of Colombia (Partido Conservador Colombiano, PCC) International Relations and Training Secretariat (Secretaría de Relaciones Internacionales y Capacitación) stated that she had never heard of the organization, nor is it affiliated with the PCC at a national level. However, she added that it could be a local or regional organization created by a PCC politician to raise funds or foster support. In this case, she would require the name of the politician involved or the region in which it is based in order to pursue further enquiries on behalf of the Research Directorate.
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints.
