| Comments | The original Act received Royal Assent and entered into force on 15 March 2007, save for sections 2A-54 and Schedule 1, which entered into force on 1 July 2007. It repealed the Australian Citizenship Act 1948. This compilation was prepared on 9 November 2009 by the Office of Legislative Drafting and Publishing, Attorney-General's Department, Canberra. The text of any of those amendments not in force on that date is appended in the Notes section. The operation of amendments that have been incorporated may be affected by application provisions that are set out in the Notes section. Made under the Act, the Australian Citizenship Regulations 2007 entered into force on 1 July 2007. |
