Grenada Citizenship (Amendment) Ordinance 1984

An Ordinance to Amend the Grenada Citizenship Act 1976.

Enacted by the Governor-General with the advice and consent of the Advisory Council of Grenada:

1.Short title.

This Ordinance may be cited as the GRENADA CITIZENSHIP (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1984

2.Section 9 of the Grenada Citizenship Act 1976 amended.

Section 9 of the Grenada Citizenship Act 1976 is amended:

(a)by inserting after subsection (2) the following subsection-

"(2a) The Minister may also deprive any such citizen of his citizenship if he is satisfied that it is in the interest of national security to do so and in that case the order shall be final.".

(b)in subsection (5) by inserting the following words after the word "section" where it first occurs-

",other than subsection (2a),".
