Congo: Copy of the 25-30 January 1996 issue of "La Rumeur"
The DIRB requested a copy of the above-mentioned publication in a 16 May 1996 letter to Jean Claude Bongolo, Editor of La Rumeur in Brazzaville. To date neither an acknowledgement of receipt of the letter nor a response has been received by the DIRB. Further attempts to contact the La Rumeur office have been unsuccessful.
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
