According to information provided during a telephone interview with an associate editor of the Daily Gleaner, there were no reports of such an incident in either the Daily Gleaner or its sister publication, the Star (2 Nov. 2001).
In addition, during a 31 October 2001 telephone interview, the General Secretary of the People's National Party of Jamaica (PNP) was unable to confirm that anyone by the name of Raphael Wallace (or Walden) was ever a member of or associated with the PNP.
