No information on the various types of the Sudanese police forces, their functions, and human rights abuses committed by the police further to that is contained in Human Rights Watch, Behind the Red Line: Political Repression in Sudan chapter 6 (1996), which is available at Regional Documentation Centres, could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
