No reports of a 1990-1992 meeting in Kabul between representatives of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Trade Union of Afghanistan could be found among the documentary sources consulted by the Research Directorate. However, the following information may be useful.

On 6 October 1990 the Kabul-based Bakhtar Information Agency reported that the Minister of Public Health, Professor Mehr Mohammad Ejazi, had met with the head of the ILO's rehabilitation department in Kabul on 4 October. They discussed ILO involvement in finding employment for disabled people and expanding such cooperation to various provinces, particularly Herat and Balkh.

Research Directorate efforts to acquire information directly from the ILO were unsuccessful within the time constraints of this Response.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find below the list of additional sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
