In a 25 September 2007 telephone interview, an official from the Embassy of Albania in Washington, DC stated that in order to obtain social services, an individual must provide a passport, an identity card and a birth certificate with a photo. The Official stated that the birth certificate provided as supporting documentation must not be older than three months (Albania 25 Sept. 2007). No further information on identity documents required to obtain social services could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate within the time constraints of this Response.
