Resolution No. 972 of 25.11.1972
Date of entry into force: as of date of publication in official Gazette (not specified) In accordance with the provisions of para (a) of Article 42 of the Interim Constitution, The Revolutionary Command Council have decided in their session held on 25.11.1972 the following:1. The Athurians (Assyrians) who participated in the insubordination of 1933 shall be exempted of the crimes they committed in that mutiny. The Iraqi nationality shall be returned to those whose nationality was withdrawn from, due to their participation thereunder.
2. The competent authorities shall take every required measures to facilitate the return to Iraq of those Athurians indicated in item 1 above, who desire of such return.
3. This Resolution shall be published in the official Gazette. It shall be valid from the date of its promulgation, and the ministers shall be charged with the execution of its provisions.
