Belarus pardons 11 more imprisoned demonstrators

Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka has pardoned 11 more of the demonstrators jailed for the protests that erupted after the presidential election on December 19, 2010, RFE/RL's Belarus Service reports.
Lukashenka's press service announced the pardon, saying it was made "on humanitarian grounds."
In recent weeks, Lukashenka has pardoned 13 others sentenced for those protests, but among those remaining in jail were three of his opponents in the December election.
The pardons come following sanctions on Belarus by the European Union and the United States.
The names of the 11 people pardoned were not made public.
