Pakistani intelligence officials say militants killed two soldiers and wounded several others in attacks in tribal regions bordering Afghanistan on August 21.
One attack, which killed one soldier, took place in Ladha, a town in South Warziristan, early on August 21.
The other took place in the Pasht Ziarat district on the North-South border, where another soldier died in a gun battle while three militants were also killed.
The Waziristan tribal area is known as a haven for insurgent activity.
