Refugees and Stateless Persons: Israel: Amendments to the draft resolution of France and the United States
1. In paragraph 3 (a) of the resolution: replace the word “establishment” by the word “functioning”.
2. In the French version of paragraph 3 (b): substitute the following after the word “regarding”:
“the extension of categories of refugees entitled to protection to persons not covered by the Constitution of the IRO”.
3. Add the following paragraph after 3 (b):
(c) to transmit to the General Assembly at its Fifth session such recommendations as the Council may deem appropriate regarding the problem of extending material assistance to certain categories of refugees.”
