Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is taken to the courtroom for another session of his trial in Cairo in September.Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is taken to the courtroom for another session of his trial in Cairo in September.

The next session in the trial of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been postponed until December 28, after a separate court rules on replacing the presiding judge.

Lawyers for the alleged victims of Mubarak have petitioned the court demanding that the judge be replaced.

Mubarak, 83, is accused of ordering the killing of protesters during the uprising that ended his rule in February.

His co-defendants include his two sons, the former interior minister, and senior police officers who face a range of charges.

All defendants deny the charges against them. The trial began nearly three months ago.
