Delivering the Global Compact on Refugees
"Delivering the Global Compact on Refugees: Local Approaches to Inclusion”is a regional intergovernmentalconference that willbringtogether States and stakeholders from the East andHorn of Africa from 31 October to 01November 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The aim of the Conference is to shareexperiences and identify opportunities to achieve the objectives of the Global Compact on Refugees, with a focus on local approaches to the inclusion of refugees within their host communities.
The Conference is organized by the Ethiopian Ministry of Peace, in partnership with the Danish Government andUNHCR.Ethiopia, which is one of theconvening countries at the Global Refugee Forum has invitedCRRF countries - Djibouti, Kenya,Somalia and Uganda -and otherIGAD member states of Eritrea, Sudan and South Sudan. The Conference will also be attended by Donors, UN agencies and NGOs.
