Nikolas Pirani
UNHCR Associate Economist
Nikolas Pirani is an Associate Economist at UNHCR in Brazil. He has more than 10 years of experience in data analysis, monitoring and evaluating policies, and development projects for the public and the private sectors. He holds a master’s in political science and a specialization in applied statistics. He has been deeply engaged in data analysis, writing of reports and managing projects with the United Nations for over 7 years. Prior to UNHCR, he was Statistical Manager at UNDP Brazil and worked on the Human Development Report and the 2030 Agenda. Nikolas is interested in exploring quantitative data and econometric analysis to increase economic inclusion and improve access to social protection systems for refugees and forcible displaced people.
