UNHCR Director,\u00a0Division of Resilience and Solutions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Sajjad Malik is the Director for the Division of Resilience and Solutions at UNHCR. Before\u00a0<\/span><\/span>taking up\u00a0<\/span><\/span>his current function<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in February 2020<\/span>, he was UNHCR\u2019s Representative in Damascus, Syria<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>from August 2015 to February 2019<\/span>. After which he served as the Special Adviser to the Executive Office in Geneva, Switzerland. Furthermore, Mr. Malik has previously served as Head of the Organizational Development & Management Service and Chief of the Operational Solutions & Transitions at UNHCR Headquarters Geneva.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The majority of his UNHCR career, for over 30 years, has been spent in the field in various capacities, notably in Africa. He has worked in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Pakistan, Syria and at UNHCR in Geneva.
