She is an experienced mixed-methods researcher, and has carried out extensive work on varied subjects including youth at risk in Mexico and school-related violence in Latin America and the Caribbean. She has a PhD in Development Studies (University of Cambridge) and a background in International Relations (M.A. New York University, B.A. Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey). She was the recipient of numerous scholarships, including Cambridge Trust and Fulbright. She has previously worked as with other international organizations organisations, including UNICEF Office of Research \u2013 Innocenti and UNDP-Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean.
