Building Awareness

UNHCR regularly briefs the media and organises events to raise awareness of the issues affecting refugees, asylum seekers and stateless persons in Ireland and internationally. We also regularly meet with refugees, asylum seekers, NGOs and organisations involved in the asylum process and the field of integration to listen to, understand and respond to their concerns.

The annual Fair Play Football Cup, run in partnership with Sport Against Racism Ireland each June, is Ireland's largest World Refugee Day event.
