Uganda starts biometric refugee verification
Uganda begins countrywide verification exercise of all refugees. With support from UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and partners, the government of Uganda launched the massive exercise on Thursday, March 1. The biometric data verification will assist the government to better assess refugee data in the country, ensuring greater accuracy and efficiency to get refugees the support they need.
