Aby Ndour is a Senegalese singer and TV host. Aby started her career in 1989 when she started to accompany Youssou Ndour on his international tours. In 1994, she began her solo singing career. In 1999, Abybatou Ndour released the album “Yoff” (she belongs to the Layene Brotherhood). After the album, Aby moved to the United States for 5 years where she gave concerts and participated in the “Putomayo world music” compilation, with the song “Xel” performed in duet with Ndongo D (Daara-J).

Aby is very committed to the major problems of Senegalese society, including issues of gender equality and the education of girls. In November 2016 Aby decided to approach UNHCR to support the IBelong campaign and in February 2017 she organized a television program to celebrate the second anniversary of the Abidjan Declaration.
