She is the author of “Between Two Worlds: Escape from Tyranny: Growing Up in the Shadow of Saddam” and “The Other Side of War: Women’s Stories of Survival and Hope”. President Clinton nominated her as one of the 21st century heroes she also appears in the Top 100 list of Most Influential Women.
