Challenge
Refugee learners in Malawi face limited access to STEM education and are not integrated into government efforts, limiting their educational and employment opportunities.
Solution
Establish Innovation Garages in Dzaleka as creative learning hubs providing after-school STEM clubs leveraging a refugee-led digital centre and aligned with Ministry of Education guidelines.
Impact
The initiative will boost creativity, digital skills and access to advanced technologies while connecting students with universities and improving inclusion and competitiveness.
