projects
Mobile unit for integrated legal and health support
Ongoing
Challenge
Forcibly displaced people in Brazil face barriers to accessing healthcare and legal support due to geographic remoteness, language barriers, and lack of documentation. Racism and xenophobia exacerbate their marginalization.
Solution
AJHASS will develop a mobile unit providing integrated medical, psychological, and legal services. Workshops and community outreach activities will raise awareness about the rights of people forced to flee and foster their social inclusion.
Impact
Enhanced access to services for 3,500 migrants and refugees, with an additional 1,500 people experiencing indirect benefits. The critical needs of marginalized communities are addressed, and their social integration is promoted.
