Connectivity Needs and Usage Assessment: Ethiopia

This Connectivity Needs and Usage Assessment (CoNUA) report on Ethiopia aims to bring together evidence to address the digital exclusion facing more than 1.1 million refugees in the country. 

The report highlights three critical barriers that must be addressed to unlock the transformative potential of connectivity for refugee self-reliance and resilience: limited infrastructure availability; high cost and affordability challenges; digital literacy gaps

This report was developed in collaboration with the Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS), UNHCR Innovation, UNHCR Ethiopia, the International Telecommunication Union, GSMA, the Government of Luxembourg, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia, alongside other key partners. To turn its insights into action, partners have established the Connectivity and Digital Inclusion Working Group.
