global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Introduction<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UNHCR\u2019s Digital Inclusion programme aims to ensure that refugees and the communities that host them have the right, and the choice, to be included in a connected society, and can have their voices heard in the design and implementation of humanitarian response. This programme is led by UNHCR\u2019s Innovation Service and utilises innovative approaches, tools and methodologies to achieve its goals \u2013 encouraging community-centric creative approaches that address identified challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme is delivered by the UNHCR Innovation Service to pursue experimental and forward-thinking approaches to the topic of digital inclusion, something that will impact the future work of UNHCR across its different work areas. It will be a sandbox for <\/span><b>testing new operational activities that support persons of concern to UNHCR,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to exercise their rights to be part of a connected society. It provides space to <\/span><b>develop creative solutions to engage with refugees and promote their participation in programming<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It also seeks to strengthen community self-reliance by <\/span><b>exploring opportunities for communities to engage in the digital economy and pursue safe and fair digitally-enabled livelihoods<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, the approach taken aligns with the Innovation Service\u2019s values, specifically and intentionally investing in supporting equitable and inclusive digital access across diverse communities and different ages, genders and demographics. It helps ensure that research can support operational goals and policy change, as well as provide space for thought leadership on emerging issues. The bootcamp is a <\/span><b>unique opportunity for community-based organizations, refugee- and women-led organizations, national organizations, and social enterprises<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> working with female refugees and\/or on digital inclusion to gain the skills they need to amplify their impact.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will be equipped with key tools to build inclusive and innovative solutions that tackle the digital gender divide.
