UNHCR Representation in Japan is seeking for an intern to assist with the Japanese expansion of MADE51 – UNHCR´s brand of handcrafted fashion and home décor items made by refugees from around the world. The intern will receive guidance and report directly to the Private Sector Partnership (PSP) focal point in the Tokyo office.



6 months with possible extension up to 8 months (ideally 5 but minimum 4 full working days per week)

【Starting Date】

6 April 2020, Monday

*UNHCR Representation in Japan currently recommends telework measures to prevent the spread of COVID19. Depending on the situation, the starting date is subject to change.


– Recent university graduate (within 1 year) or current student in graduate programme

– Applicants will be fluent in English and Japanese, both written and spoken. High skills in interpretation and translation are necessary.

Food and Local Transportation Allowance is payable in accordance with UNHCR’s internship policy.
